What is Reiki

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of hands on or off healing and self-improvement that everyone can use.  It can be used in person or at a distance.  It treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.  It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques and has been shown to reduce pain and anxiety which aid in the recovery process.  Traditional medicine and mental health therapies have developed incredible tools to assist us with healing.  When we combine traditional medicine with modalities from the healing arts there is often an improvement in the individual’s experience which could include speed of recovery, decrease in anxiety, decrease in pain, etc.  (Maybe include research)
